Summary of the MLT Chapters Initiative
Beginning after the global 2009 conference in Doha, the Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow program has initiated the process of creating a series of chapters for the Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow (MLT) network. The chapters will be organized around various geographic parameters, from the city to the nation. Each of these chapters will function as a central organizing community for the members of the network. The chapters also will serve to increase visibility of the network and the MLTs it represents.
The MLT Network
The MLT network is comprised of members who adhere to basic Islamic values such as knowledge, diversity, justice, freedom, beauty, peace, and humility. Each member works to elevate the discourse on Islam both within and outside of the Muslim community. The network seeks to strengthen each member individually and to show the cumulative good works of the collective. It highlights the variety of Muslims through countries of origin, communities of interpretation, ethnicities, genders, and actions.
MLT Chapters and the Network
The global nature of the network demands the creation of locally based chapters that encourage a sense of fidelity to the network and to serve as a practical organizing tool for the network to further its goals. Chapters will exist at the city, regional, and national level.
